our littlest monkey turned one just a few days ago. being unsure if he is our last or not, you can imagine the emotions i was feeling… joy and gratitude for this healthy, happy, and loving little guy – yet sadness that my baby has turned the corner and entered ever so slowly into toddlerhood.
we celebrated with a small gathering of family and big brother decided a pirate party was in order. i’m not sure the birthday boy much enjoyed his party hat, but the rest of us did! this was the first birthday celebration where both grandparents were able to be there – quite special indeed.
