four & a half years ago we entered a 3-D ultrasound clinic not knowing if this precious baby inside of me was a girl… or boy. we left giddy with excitement. we were having a boy. did we run to tell family and friends, perhaps go to dinner in celebration, head to the mall and stock up on blue baby goodies? no, we headed strait to a baseball game – something we did together quite often back in those days. from the moment we saw he was a boy, the hubs began to plan out his sports career. would he be a lefty like his dad? possibly play first base like our fave retired player jt snow? this first born son, namesake to both of our fathers, would be truly special regardless of if he found a love for sports – but gosh we’re so happy that he does.
you can imagine his our excitement when d turned five just last month, as that means he can officially follow in his father’s footsteps. j.o.b.l. pee wee baseball here we came. the morning was full of anticipation, d wanted to wear his special baseball t-shirt & cap. much to the chagrin of my husband i was loaded with two of my cameras, ready to hang onto this special day. you might think it was just sign ups, and it was, but to us it was more. it’s a warren tradition and our sweet d-boy is now following suit. when he found out his dad played on these very fields as a five year old, he couldn’t have been happier.
so excited for you bubs, can’t wait to see you enjoy this new chapter in your life. xoxo, mama
