let your light shine | bay area polaroid photographer

the quote above was shared with me during a conversation with my friend & fellow photographer marta, which i’m pretty sure was sparked by the incredible artistry and mind of deb. it’s heavy on my heart this evening and as i revisited it this polaroid of my sister came to mind. am i pushing my light to shine? my sister, on the brink of the rest of her life… is she allowing her beauty and spirit to soar? or do we cower beneath the covers; shrinking out of fear, kindness, or the like? even in small doses, this light needs to be seen. because really, why hide anymore?

Marci - I just copied that quote last week to frame. I haven't decided where I will put it yet. It fits the conversations my daughter and I have been having and it is just a great quote to motivate me!

andrea - love the quote! I've been gathering some recently and that one is tops on my list! such a great reminder as we go through our day to day lives.

Launa - Wow, this really makes you think....it's a beautiful quote, I'm sure I'll be pondering it for sometime! thanks :)

Sade - Sister, you do know how to make me cry, you know that right? At least it's for a good reason :) I love you beyond words and just want to let you know that to this day I still aspire to be half of the person that you are... your light is always shining from my point of view.

Brandie - The quote, the picture, your thoughts - I love it all! I\'m going to link this up over at themotherhood.com =)

andrea - I commented on this this morning from my iphone and am back here through my reader and saw the comment from sade... speaks volumes about the person you are. shine on! ;)
