the perfect afternoon – san francisco bay area child photographer

8

sitting here with a to-do list a mile long, i’m faced with a decision… dive into said to-do list, or take some rare time out to edit personal photos. i know i’m getting too busy when i can’t pinpoint the last time i either a. took photos of the boys for fun or b. worked on (edited) photos of the boys, for fun. here i sit and that crossroad. it’s 10pm and i decided to peek through some images in lightroom that aren’t client’s. i came upon these gems. to another’s eye they are imperfect, they’re just a little boy running wild on a giant hill.

to me they are priceless. this day was a few weeks ago – it was a tuesday, and it was ‘black day’ at school. i’ll not forget how excited d was to wear as many black items as possible. and on that very day i got a handful of kisses and many “i lub you”s. it was filled with ihop and an afternoon with a good friend. it included sippy cups and diaper changes, some backyardigans and email returning. i captured it with these six photos, and gosh i’m so glad i did.

that tuesday we did our normal thing, our routine was as it usually is, but to me it was perfect. just perfect.
