the soul of a six year old | berkeley child photographer

22-6

this girl has the sweetness of a six year old and the soul of someone far beyond her years. i just adore her and when i came upon this image from a recent dinner it struck me – why can’t i have the soul of a six year old? the innocence that comes with worrying about so little – the playful, art-filled days that seem to drag on. forever. the sleepovers, secrets between friends, giggles in the backseat. eyes full of wonder, a heart full of love. 2010 brings a fresh pallet, a brand new canvas in which i get to paint with whatever color i choose. so my commitment is to do my best to reach deep inside to find six-year-old ang and bring her out to play. because really, we only get to live this life once – why not make the absolute best of it? i hope you are able to find that same old soul that lives within you. you owe it to yourself, as do i.

Sade - I'm painting my canvas yellow with a splash of teal. Devon is painting hers purple, possibly with some red. Miss you, sister.

jessica g - ang, this is perfect. i'm looking forward to whatever 2010 brings and love your reminder to remember the little (but very important!) things, like playing.

Linda - Beautiful, Ang! And love the inspirational child! I enjoy being a little girl at heart just about all the time! My Aunt Leona taught me that... Hugs!
